Detailed Exegesis
He said: The omission of the conjunction and the use of the word “said” without a conjunction is for the sake of maintaining coherence in the discourse and conversation, as previously mentioned.
Falammā: The fāʾ in falammā anbāhum does not indicate that Ādam’s informing was delayed after God’s command. Rather, the command of God, the Glorious, and the obedience of the perfect human being are simultaneous. Just as when a person intends to see, he sees immediately, and when he intends to speak, he speaks immediately. In fact, the intention of the human soul and the compliance of the faculties are one and the same. Here too, when God, the Glorious, willed for Ādam to be the teacher of the angels, His will and Ādam’s teaching occurred simultaneously.
