Harmony of the Verses

After God asked the angels to report the names and they expressed their ignorance and inability, realizing their weakness, He commanded Ādam to inform the angels of the names of the realities of the world, so that they would realize Ādam’s knowledge, worthiness, and perfection. When Ādam informed them of the names, God said to the angels: “Did I not tell you that I know the unseen and the hidden of the heavens and the earth, and nothing is hidden from Me about you? Your manifest and hidden are equal to Me. I am aware of what you have revealed, which is the corruption and bloodshed of humans on earth, and I am also aware of what you have concealed, which is your belief that you are more worthy of the matter of vicegerency (or the arrogance of some of you, meaning Iblīs, regarding prostrating to Ādam).”
