Harmony of the Verses

This verse presents a summary of the relevant portion of the story of Jesus (a.s.) and his birth; a story whose details were previously presented in the context of argumentation with the Christians of Najrān. Concision after elaboration, which is one of the beauties of discourse, required that at the end of this story it be emphasized that the nature of Jesus’s (a.s.) birth indicates nothing more than that he, like Adam (a.s.), is God’s creation, and it is not permissible to say more about him than what is said about Adam.(594)
