Harmony of Verses

The heavenly table - whose story comes in this verse and the subsequent verses - is the ninth miracle and blessing after the previous eight blessings, because with Jesus’s request the heavenly table descended, and this is a sign of God’s power and became a cause for people’s belief in Jesus’s prophethood. Therefore, God bestowed favor with it upon His servant and messenger, since God answered the prayer of the Messiah with the descent of the heavenly table-spread. (227)
