Selected Exegesis

The Disciples who desired the descent of the table, regarding their request, responded to Jesus (a.s.) in this manner that we have four reasonable objectives: we want to benefit from the heavenly table; to reach tranquility of heart; to know that you have spoken truthfully to us; to be witnesses to it for others.
