Relationship of Verses (Tanāsub-i Āyāt)

After refuting the false beliefs of the Jews and Christians and explaining the unworthiness of other than God for divinity (ulūhiyyat) in the preceding verses, this verse warns all Jews and Christians against excess (ghuluww) in religion and following misguided and misleading promoters of their own selfish desires.
