Relationship Between Verses

The final section of Sūrat al-Nisāʾ expresses threefold matters about the People of the Book: their commonalities; the characteristics of the Jews; the features of the Christians. In the preceding verses, the doubts of the Jews were mentioned and answered, and now it turns to refuting the doubts of the Christians.
