Harmony of the Verses

This verse is among those that highlight the monotheistic path of Abraham (a.s.), emphasizing the deviation and error of those who claim to follow him yet refuse to follow the Prophet who continues his mission. It illustrates that if they were truthful in their claim of adherence to Abraham, they would recognize that he prayed for the safety of Mecca and sought provision for its inhabitants who believe in God and the Last Day. God granted this request, allowing even the disbelievers to experience apparent security and material sustenance. However, they should understand that security and provision limited to this world, devoid of blessings for the Hereafter and ultimately leading to the punishment of the Fire and a regrettable end, are indeed considered minor and insignificant.
